MemoCue 2.0 - Smart Add, Voice Capture & Relationship Timeline

This is the biggest update since MemoCue launched. Version 2.0 introduces the features we've been building toward since day one: a completely new way to capture relationship context with your voice, a full relationship timeline for every person, and the rebrand to MemoCue.

Smart Add - just say it, in any language

The new Smart Add feature is the heart of v2.0. Tap the floating button and speak - or type - anything, in any language. MemoCue listens, understands, and automatically creates the right output:

• A new contact suggestion if you mention someone new
• A reminder or cue if you want to follow up
• A note or moment if you're capturing a memory
• A tag to keep things organized

No form to fill. No category to pick. Smart Add figures it out.

This was the feature most requested by early users - the friction of opening a note, choosing a person, and typing everything manually was too high. Now it's one tap from anywhere in the app.

Voice capture with Whisper

Smart Add supports voice input using OpenAI's Whisper speech recognition. Speak naturally after a call, a coffee, or any moment worth remembering. Whisper is highly accurate across languages and accents - you don't need to speak slowly or use specific phrasing.

Speech recognition permission is requested the first time you use voice input.

Relationship Timeline

Every contact now has a full timeline - a calm, date-sorted view of all your notes, moments, reminders, and cues for that person. Scroll back to see what you captured six months ago. See what's coming up next week.

The timeline makes MemoCue feel less like a reminder app and more like a relationship memory - which is exactly what we were building toward.

Offline mode

MemoCue now works offline. Notes, cues, and contact data are cached locally so the app remains fully usable when you don't have a connection. Changes sync automatically when you're back online.

One-time reminders and birthday fixes - v1.4

A focused update with one new feature and several fixes to the reminders experience.

One-time reminders

You can now create reminders that fire once and don't repeat. Previously all reminders were recurring. This is useful for time-specific follow-ups - "check in after their surgery", "ask how the interview went" - where you only need one nudge.

Custom reminders - v1.3

You can now create fully custom reminders for any contact - set your own cadence, label, and timing rather than choosing from presets.

Custom reminders let you define exactly when and how often MemoCue should nudge you for a specific person. Set a weekly check-in for your closest friends, a monthly reminder for family members you don't see often, or a one-off follow-up after an important conversation.

Improved dashboard animations

The main dashboard now has smoother, more polished animations when loading and transitioning between views.

AI summaries for notes and contact logs - v1.2

Version 1.2 adds AI-powered summaries to two key areas of the app.

AI summary for notes

When a contact has multiple notes, MemoCue can now generate a concise summary of everything you've captured. Useful when you want a quick refresh before reaching out to someone you haven't talked to in a while.

AI summary for contact logs

The contact log - your history of interactions with a person - can also be summarized by AI. Get the key points from your last several conversations in a few sentences.

Both summary features are opt-in and generate on demand.

Infrastructure update - v1.1

A behind-the-scenes release focused on infrastructure, stability, and developer tooling. No user-facing changes.

This update migrated the app to Cloudsmith for build distribution and Supabase for local database management - laying the groundwork for faster, more reliable releases going forward.
